Twitter announced today it has partnered with ELeague to livestream the semifinals and finals of TBSs inaugural Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament this Friday and Saturday. This is the first esports event to be streamed live on Twitter.In a media release to the blog GamesBeat, Christina Alejandre, vice president of esports at Turner Sports and general manager of Eleague, said the move provides fans with an additional opportunity to consume ELeague content.ELeague is currently broadcasted on two platforms: Twitch.tv and TBS.
