Hampshire have signed Tino Best on a short-term deal after announcing fellow-West Indian paceman Fidel Edwards will require surgery on a fractured ankle. Edwards was injured during a pre-game football match at Headingley last week and joins Hampshires England seamer Reece Topley (broken hand) on the sidelines. Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said: Unfortunately Fidel has had a serious break and will have to undergo surgery on Tuesday.Its a real shame for him.
