Manchester City managed to come away from the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid with a clean sheet and Paul Dickov thinks they are in a strong position ahead of the return match in Madrid. Dickov has been impressed with the way City have transformed their performances in Europe after failing to get past the round of 16 in their last four attempts.I thought it was a really good result for City last night, Dickov told Sky Sports News HQ. City have been guilty in previous seasons of being a little bit naive in Europe, maybe going a bit too gung-ho. Against Real Madrid last night it was imperative they kept a clean sheet and going over to the Bernabeu next week I really do fancy City to score with the players theyve got in their team.Real Madrid were unlucky not to score but City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart was in fine form - keeping Pepe out from just six yards from what looked like a certain goalscoring opportunity.Hes been outstanding, he made two world-class saves last night and I have said before I regard Joe as one of the three or four best keepers in the world, Dickov said. Bale and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart shake hands at the final whistle The ex-City forward is confident his old side can progress and has tipped them to come up against future manager Pep Guardiola and Bayern Munich in the final, saying its written in the stars. If you look at Citys results in Europe this season, the five away games theyve had I think theyve scored 10 goals so that just shows you the way the way they set up away from home, hitting teams on the counter attack - it really suits how they play, Dickov added. If City can be nice and solid, the likes of Yaya Toure and Kevin De Bruyne, whos been in great form, and obviously Sergio Aguero are a real threat. The one thing I can see City doing is scoring and I really fancy them and I think its written in the stars for a Bayern Munich and Manchester City final.Manuel Pellegrini will be aware his side must keep an eye on their league form as they look to secure their place in the top four this Sunday when they play an in-form Southampton, live on Sky Sports 1. James Hurst Jersey . -- Gus Malzahn finally had his day in Fayetteville. BEREA, Ohio -- That giant zero hanging on the Browns right now might as well be a bulls-eye.Nobody wants to lose to the NFLs only winless squad. At 0-13, Cleveland has become an unlikely target.Thats one of the challenges when you go this long without winning a game, Pro Bowl tackle Joe Thomas said.Youve gone from maybe a team that other teams are going to overlook to the team that youre definitely not going to get overlooked because teams dont want to be the team that lost to you, and they are going to circle that game.Three losses from a most imperfect season, the Browns will try to snap a losing streak stretching to last Dec. 13 on Sunday when they visit the Buffalo Bills, who have had their own struggles and whose coach, Rex Ryan, might be in a little trouble.A loss to the dismal Browns could seal Ryans fate.On Wednesday, Buffalo defensive tackle said the Bills arent looking past the Browns and promised victory.Thats just a guarantee, Dareus told the Buffalo News. We aint gonna be that team. Were not going to be the team that busts (the Browns streak). Nobody in the league wants that to happen (to them), no.Thomas faked disgust and anger when told about Dareus promise.I hate that guy! Thomas yelled through a smile. Im gonna kill him!Thomas, though, got somewhat serious when explaining the motivation behind Dareus pledge as its the same thing driving the Browns, who dont want to be remembered along with the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only 0-16 teams. The mindset were going to have is just the same way, he said. Were going to make them the team we break the streak on, so I think thats, as a football player, our competitive nature, thats the way we train ourselves to think every single week because you want to go in on that Sunday expecting to win.The Bills understand whats at stake. Two straight losses and five in their past seven games have damaged a promising season. They neeed to win out to have any chance of making the playoffs, so a loss to the Browns would be doubly devastating.ddddddddddddWe cant let that happen, wide receiver Sammy Watkins said. Itll look bad on everybody, not just Rex, but the organization, the players. Weve got to come out ready to fight and play a full battle because theyre going to come out and try to beat us.Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III, who will make just his second start since Sept. 11, isnt expecting any sympathy from the Bills. In fact, he believes theyll be more focused than if they were playing a 3-10 team.No one wants to be that team that gets beat by us because we dont have any wins right now, and everyone knows it, Griffin said.No one is just going to walk out there on the field and give us a win and say, `Here you go. We feel sorry for you. We will give you guys a win. Everyone is trying to kick us while we are down, so we are going to have to go take it.We are going to get everybodys best shot because nobody wants to lose to us. It is just a matter of us going out and putting a full game together.Thomas fondly recalled a visit to Buffalo in 2009, when the Browns beat the Bills 6-3 despite completing just two passes. The win snapped a 10-game losing streak dating to the previous season and was Clevelands only victory in a 1-11 start. It was like winning the Super Bowl, he said. That win was an awesome moment even though it was insignificant in the grand scheme of things, so certainly when we get that first win its going to be an exciting moment in the locker room for the players, probably only the players because it doesnt matter to anyone else. Were really battling hard to get that first win.---For more NFL coverage: http://www.pro32.ap.org and http://www.twitter.com/AP-NFL ' ' '
