With Kenya eyeing to fill the 24 slots up for grabs -- six athletes each for senior men's 12km, senior women's 8km, junior men's 8km and junior women's 6km races -- an explosive battle is the offing as over 350 athletes line up for selection.


"It will as always be a challenging event. Kenya will select a strong team and we hope it will weather the storm in Guiyang, China Tyreek Hill Youth Jersey ," Isaiah Kiplagat, the Athletics Kenya President said on Wednesday.


For the first time, two Ethiopians will line up in the Kenyan championships. The two countries are the fiercest and most successful in the competition history.


Ethiopia has sent in Getaneh Molla Tamire (12km men) and Silenat Yismaw Hugegnaw (8km women) to test the waters and report back home of the caliber of challenge they will receive in Guiyang.


The world Championships will be held in Guiyang, China on March 28. Ethiopia and Kenya are the most decorated countries in the sport.


Together they have won 120 out of the 158 team titles in the competition. The two nations have met 120 times where both have fielded full teams, with Kenya beating Ethiopia 79-41. Kenya has won four individual senior women's titles and expected to re- affirm their supremacy in Guiyang


Alongside Ethiopia Armani Watts Youth Jersey , Tanzania will be bringing in five athletes; Sudan has four, three Ugandans and two entries each from Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Eritrea, Swaziland and Sierra Leone. Majority of the foreign athletes are based in Eldoret at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) High Altitude Training Centre.


The Kenyan challenge will see old friends turn on each other as veteran Vivian Cheruiyot returns after her motherhood to challenge youthful Faith Chepng'etich Dorian O'Daniel Youth Jersey , who won gold in the junior category in the last two editions.


Throw in Emily Chebet, Gladys Cherono, Mercy Cherono, Sheila Chepkirui and the women's senior race will be a tough call to many.


The senior men's race will see the return of Moses Mukono, former world champion Geoffrey Kwamoror Derrick Nnadi Youth Jersey , Bedan Karoki, Matthew Kisorio, Joseph Ebuya, Cornelius Kagongo or Philip Lagat.


A crop of new athletes off the production line will liven the races in the junior men and junior women's category.


"The race will be tough. We will create artificial course with obstacles on the course since it is very dry. There will be an extra 100m to the finish line," said Ibrahim Hussein Breeland Speaks Youth Jersey , the race technical director.


The first four across the line and two wildcard entries will be the criteria to be used to select the 24-member team across the four disciplines.
