Everyone wants to put a marker down in front of a home crowd. You want to do them proud, you want to do your country proud. When you are out there playing for England you want to put some pride in the jersey and I think its really important.Fiji head into the tournament as HSBC World Sevens Series leaders, with South Africa and New Zealand in second and third respectively. England, in ninth place, have been drawn in a tough Pool B that includes table leaders Fiji, Australia and Wales. Samoa completed a stunning second-half comeback to beat World Series leaders Fiji 29-26 in the final of the Paris Sevens Unfortunately this year we are not in a position to compete for the World Series trophy, Fiji are out in front, but for all teams in Sevens to come to the home of rugby is fantastic for them, added Burgess. The games will be brilliant, there will be some upsets for sure which will be very exciting for the fans. This season for us was a development year and was all about putting out the team we can and getting the performances we can as individuals so that at the end of the series we can push on to other things. So for us as individuals weve got to go out and perform and then whatever comes after that comes. He hurt the finger while working on a drone.Bauer threw 20 pitches to batters on Monday during batting practice, his first true test against hitters since Game 3 in Toronto. He wore a small bandage on the cut, but the injury will not be wrapped on Wednesday. Bauer said there was no blood present when the bandage was removed Monday, which he took as an encouraging sign.I dont think that finger is going to be the reason he wins or loses, Cleveland manager Terry Francona said.Franconas strategy for using his pitchers in this series will be determined by how they make it through the first three games. Game 1 starrter Corey Kluber, Bauer and Game 3 starter?Josh Tomlin?all could go on short rest, beginning with Kluber in Game 4.dddddddddddd Under this scenario, Kluber could also start Game 7.Its not just one guy can handle it and maybe come back early, Francona said. Because once you do that, then the other guys pretty much have to, too, [or] youre really not helping yourself. If the Indians use a fourth starter, it will likely be either righty Danny Salazar or rookie lefty Ryan Merritt. Salazar, an All-Star, would be limited to 60 or 70 pitches since he has not pitched in a big league game since early September because of forearm tightness.Merritt started Game 5 of the ALCS and pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings as the Indians clinched the pennant last Wednesday in Toronto. Merritt and Salazar could be used out of the bullpen, as well. ' ' '
