HARRISON, N.J. -- The New York Red Bulls have signed defender Ibrahim Sekagya. The Major League Soccer team announced the signing on Thursday, saying the 32-year-old Ugandan will be added to the roster upon receipt of his international transfer certificate. Sekagya has played mostly as a central defender with Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Bundesliga from 2007 through the finish of the clubs most recent season. He had six goals in 165 games for a team that won three titles during his stay. He began his professional career in Uganda and then went to Argentina in 2001.
