CHICAGO -- Former Bears tight end Martellus Bennett questioned Jay Cutlers leadership, and blamed ex-teammates for not winning more games in an ESPN E:60 profile of Bennett and his brother Michael. The Bears failed to reach the playoffs in any of Martellus Bennetts three years on the team, finishing with a combined 19-29 mark. Chicago traded Bennett and a sixth-round pick to the?New England Patriots?in exchange for a fourth-round choice in the offseason. We just had a bunch of b----es on the roster -- thats why we didnt win games -- and coaches liked the b----es, Bennett said in the E:60 profile, which is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday. As for Cutler, Bennett suggested the quarterback did not deserve to be the face of the franchise. Some people that you want to be a leader are not the guy thats the leader, Bennett said. And everyone in the locker room knows that this is not the leader, but this is what you want the face of the team to look like.Bennetts comments came from an interview that he and his brother did with ESPN The Magazines Mina Kimes. Much of that interview appeared in an August issue of the publication. The Bears did not practice Tuesday.?Bennetts time in Chicago was hardly controversy-free.After catching 90 passes for 916 yards and six touchdowns in 2014 -- resulting in a Pro Bowl selection -- Bennett boycotted the clubs subsequent voluntary offseason program in search of a new contract, which he never attained. After eventually reporting to avoid a fine, Bennett openly complained about his lack of targets in regular-season games. When he was made inactive for the Bears Thanksgiving night trip to Green Bay, Bennett admitted he didnt even watch the Bears upset win. He ultimately landed on injured reserve with an injury to his ribs, and he finished the 2015 season with 53 catches for 439 yards and three touchdowns. He sounded off on several other topics in the?E:60 profile, including his time with the Cowboys, who drafted him.?They basically tried to like put their thumb on me, control me, make me something I wasnt, and I think thats why I had trouble early in my career, he said. Instead of trying to change my game and make my game better, they were trying to change me as person, as a human being, and thats something i was always fighting ... I dont like Jason Garrett ... I didnt get along with him.Michael Bennett was critical of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. You can fine me, do whatever you want, but he makes more money than any player in the NFL, doesnt run one route, catch one ball, yet he gets to make every decision, he said. Congratulations, NFLPA.Martellus Bennett already has a pair of 100-yard receiving games and four touchdowns through five games with the Patriots.Discount Shoes Ireland .
